Mr. Smith has been instrumental in building the firm into the very successful and respected law practice it is today, working in the firm for over two decades. Mr. Smith, unlike many others, takes the time to get to know and truly connect with each client personally. His practical, effective, and yet compassionate and understanding approach to dealing with family law matters has earned him high praise and keeps him in demand. Clients also appreciate his ability to take the most complex and technical legal concepts and present them in easy-to-understand terms and formulate simple, step-by-step plans for his clients to know what to expect.

Mr. Smith is also a Certified Family Law Specialist (CFLS). This specialized certification can only be earned after completion of a rigorous process of additional education, hands-on experience, feedback from attorney peers, as well as passing the written Family Law Specialist examination. Once certified, a CFLS must continue to demonstrate a high level of competence and experience, as well as fulfill their regular continuing education requirements.

Mr. Smith is also a licensed real estate agent in California. This allows him to provide excellent, up-to-date real estate and real property legal advice to his clients, as well as having access to the MLS and experience in real estate transactions.

Mr. Smith is a husband and a devoted father of one son and one daughter. His interests outside of the office include health and fitness, mountain bike racing, and traveling. If the weather permits, you may just bump into Mr. Smith with his children and wife at the top of one of our local mountains on any given weekend.
